Efforts to combat bias by raising awareness among leaders have fallen short. Minority representation in public relations remains inadequate and growth is unacceptably slow. New research conducted by the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) in partnership with PRSA Foundation, offers a fresh approach to identifying and removing obstacles to much-needed progress. Drawing on many years of research, CTI will provide strategies for lessening the perception of bias to more fully engage a diverse range of talent.

The webinar is being presented by Laura Sherbin, co-president at the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) and a managing partner at Hewlett Consulting Partners. She is an economist who specializes in the creation of competitive advantage through inclusion and diversity.

Seven out of 10 Americans view race relations in the United States as poor – nearly matching a record high, according to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. We don’t discuss these experiences with people unlike ourselves, and certainly we don’t talk about them at work. That silence, as new research from the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) reveals, is costing us dearly. This webinar, is based on CTI’s recent research and will discuss the cost of silence, the benefits of courageous conversation, and the best ways – at work – to bridge the divides in our communications.
