The PRSA Foundation Board has announced the organizations that have been chosen to receive funding as a result of a recent call for proposals to conduct comprehensive national research studies and implement projects that would improve the recruitment, retention and advancement of under-represented groups (particularly African Americans and U.S. Hispanics/Latinos) in the public relations profession. The recipients are as follows:
City College of New York – An Examination of Factors Affecting the Success of Under-represented Groups in the Public Relations Profession.
The University of San Francisco – Improving the Shades of Diversity in Public Relations: Engaging Under-Represented Practitioners in the Workplace by Exploring their Concerns Involving Career Satisfaction, Workplace Inclusion, and Work-Life Balance.
Syracuse University – Diversity & Inclusion: A Summary of the Current Status and Practices of Arthur W. Page Society Members
Institute for Public Relations – Bridging the Divide: A Multidisciplinary Analysis of Diversity Research and the Implications for Public Relations
