Established in 2026, the EvolveMKD Fellowship will award one student annually who is pursuing a major or minor in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or English. This fellowship will annually award one student with a $5,000 scholarship and a paid twelve-week full-time internship with EvolveMKD in New York, NY.

Scholarship Criteria:

Judges will be looking for applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • A registered undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university with plans to graduate in May 2026 and/or available to work full-time starting in summer 2026.
  • Pursuing a major in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English or a related field preferred.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • BIPOC-identified, first-generation student (a student whose parent(s) have not earned a four-year college degree), and/or identified as a member of an underrepresented group or historically marginalized community.
  • 2 or more months of public relations internship experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States, have a state-issued ID and second form of identification for hourly work.
  • Ability to work in person in EvolveMKD’s office in New York, NY three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week from 9 AM-6 PM during fellowship.
  • Open/available to potentially join agency full-time after conclusion of the Fellowship,
  • PRSSA membership is preferred.
  • Applicants should have:
    • Demonstrated interest, coursework, and/or experience in beauty, health and lifestyle focused PR is a bonus
    • Strong written communications skills; ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both in person and virtually via phone or email.
    • Proficiency in Office365, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • An open mind, with the ability to learn new skills quickly and comprehensively
    • Ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a respectful demeanor in all communications.
