Betty Hudson is an award-winning communications industry leader with 45 years of experience in global television, print and digital content creation, and audience building, as senior communications executive in for profit and nonprofit organizations, including NBC, iVillage, Reader's Digest and, most recently, the National Geographic Society. Hudson now consults with organizations and business leaders on an array of strategic marketing and communications issues. Expertise includes brand management, crisis communications, product and consumer communications, digital and social media alignments, and financial communications, with sector experience in media, insurance, healthcare, education and the environment. Betty serves Co-Chair of the Washington, DC Chapter of Women Corporate Directors (WCD), and member of the global WCD Strategy Advisory Committee, Hudson served on the Board of Directors for AFLAC, Inc for 28 years, where she was Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Committee, and a member of the Finance and Investment Committee. She is active in community affairs, Betty has worked with and served a cross section of organizations on a wide range of issues, including education, healthcare, the environment and empowering women in the workplace as well as society.
