As President & CEO of ChavezPR, LLC., Stephen Chavez is a leading voice in the marketplace on effectively reaching multicultural communities. He currently serves as President of the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter.
A highly skilled strategist and communicator, Stephen has a proven track record executing successful public relations campaigns for consumer brands, nonprofits, and government agencies. His client experience ranges from Northgate Gonzalez Market, Verizon, McDonald’s, Nestlè, Museum of Latin American Art, Anheuser-Busch Companies, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
He is a former print journalist who worked at the Los Angeles Times and The Morning Call daily newspapers. Clients turn to Stephen for his vast network of media, business, and community connections.
His agency’s communications programs have received top industry honors, including the Silver Anvil, multiple PRISM Awards from the Public Relations Society of America, and the Food and Beverage Campaign of the Year award from the Hispanic Public Relations Association.
In addition to running a successful PR consultancy, Stephen serves as Vice Chair of the Latino Equality Alliance and past president of the National Hispanic Public Relations Association.
Stephen graduated from the University of La Verne with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, where he works as an adjunct professor teaching public relations courses.
