Torod B. Neptune is Chief Communications Officer of Lenovo. Previously, he was corporate vice president corporate communications for Verizon Communications Inc., a Fortune 15 company and one of the world's largest media and technology companies, where he oversees the teams defining the company’s unique narrative and leads its efforts to connect emotionally with stakeholders across brand, media, and consumer channels through authentic, engagement focused earned influence.

Responsible for functional leadership of communication strategy and planning for Verizon, its various business segments and its corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropic and environmental initiatives, Torod directs corporate reputation, industry analyst relations, influencer strategy, PR analytics and measurement, product and brand communications, corporate messaging, public affairs, crisis and issues management, financial communications, social media, and corporate media relations.

Previously, Neptune was was senior vice president and global public affairs practice leader for one of the world's largest communications consulting firms overseeing teams in Washington, D.C., and Brussels and chief communications strategist for the U.S. Congress, responsible for establishing the first post-Sept. 11 and anthrax crisis communications function for the U.S. House of Representatives. Preceding Capitol Hill Torod was senior vice president, Corporate Marketing and Communications with Bank of America Corp.

Named by PRWeek to its ‘Power 50’ list, recognizing the top 50 communications officers defining the playbook for the industry, Neptune began his career as a reporter with The State, and received a BA in international affairs and journalism from the University of South Carolina at Columbia.
